本授業の目的およびねらい

本授業科目は，初年次生を大学教育へ導入し，自立した学習能力を身につけるとともに，文・理に共通した基礎的学力や技能を養うために，多面的な知的トレーニングによって，コモンベーシックとしての読み，書き，話す能力のかん養を図るとともに，真理探究の方法と面白さを学ぶことが目的である。
１万気圧（約１GPa）をこえる超高圧力の世界では，氷が沈んだり，ダイアモンドができたりと，未知の世界が広がっています．地球の中心部は約360GPaです．ここではそんな超高圧の世界にふれてみます．

Can you imagine the pressure more than 10,000 atm (atmosphere, about 1GPa: Giga Pascal). The deepest place pressure at the bottom of the ocean is about 0.1 GPa. You can imagine a little bit how high the pressure over 1 GPa is. However, in the outer space the world of super ultra-high pressure over 100 GPa is not even rare. The center pressure of the earth is about 360 GPa. What can we make if we synthesize the materials in the world of such ultra-high pressure? This simple question opens the door to this mysterious world.
