本授業の目的およびねらい

本授業科目は，自然科学系分野の諸現象について、それらの諸現象を学際的、総合的に分析、把握する能力を育むとともに、他の学問分野との関連性について理解することが目的である。
遺伝子の概念の発見に始まる分子生物学の基本概念を習得し、遺伝子の構造・複製・機能発現の仕組みを理解する。次いで遺伝子の概念と人間社会との関わりを、技術や病気などの実例を通して思考する能力を養う。

The objectives of this course is to help students understand the various biological phenomena of living organisms that are caused by the action of genes. It is also important to understand that life phenomena are closely related to nearby disciplines such as physics and chemistry.
At the end of the course, students are expected to learn the basic concepts of molecular biology starting with the discovery of the concept of genes, and understand the underlying molecular mechanism of structure, replication, and function of genes. Next, students develop the ability to think about the relationship between the concept of genes and human society through examples, such as technology and disease.
