本授業の目的およびねらい

本授業科目は，自然科学系分野の諸現象について，それらの諸現象を学際的，総合的に分析，把握する能力を育むとともに，他の学問分野との関連性について理解することが目的である。
　バイオテクノロジーは、生物がもつ多様な機能を開発し利用することによって、人の生活に役立てる技術を指す。本講義では、古典的発酵食品から現在の遺伝子組み換えを利用した技術までを学ぶとともに、その基本となる遺伝子工学、細胞工学、発生工学などの原理を理解する。

教科書・テキスト

直接教材としては、講義資料を配布する。

注意事項

授業内で指定する主題についてレポートを課す。

This course provides students with the skills required to analyze and understand phenomena in the field of natural sciences in an interdisciplinary, comprehensive fashion that promotes an understanding of their relationships to other fields of study.
The objectives of this course are to learn from the classic fermented foods to the new technologies such as genetic engineering and cell engineering. In addition, it provides an opportunity to consider issues such as social acceptance of biotechnology.
