In this course, we will survey basic fields related to mathematical science which is necessary to study mathematical informatics. The aim of this course is to help students (including the ones who have not studied mathematical science as their main field) acquire the least minimum basic knowledge of mathematical science and mathematical methods useful for their researches.

これから数理情報学を学ぶ上で必要となる数理科学に関連する基礎的な分野について解説する。数理科学を専門として学んでこなかった者でも，この概論により必要最小限の数理科学の基礎知識を修得し，今後の研究活動に有益な数理的手法を身に付けることを目指す。

授業の内容や構成

数理情報学モデル論概論では，量子計算量理論，量子情報理論などを中心に学び，これらの分野と情報学がいかに関わっているかを理解する。

〔計画〕
（西村治道／４回）・量子計算量理論の基礎について解説する。
（BUSCEMI Francesco／４回）・量子情報理論について解説する。

This course mainly deals with quantum computational complexity and quantum information theory. Students should be able to understand how these fields are related to informatics. The plan of this course is the following.

Basic of quantum complexity theory (lectured by Harumichi Nishimura)
Quantum information theory (lectured by Francesco Buscemi)

履修条件・関連する科目

成績評価の方法と基準

授業への積極的参加（発言，質問など）５０％，レポート５０％で評価し，合計１００点満点で６０点以上を合格とする。

Your final grade will be decided based on active participation to the class (50%) and the reports (50%). To pass, students must earn at least 60 points out of 100.

教科書・参考書

教科書は指定しないが必要に応じて参考資料を配布する。参考文献は必要に応じて講義中に示す。履修条件は特にない。

We will distribute reference materials appropriately.

課外学習等（授業時間外学習の指示）

講義内容の理解の助けとするためレポート問題を適宜出題する。

We will assign reports to help the understanding of the course.
