| 授業の目的 【日本語】 | | | 持続可能な地域づくりに貢献する学問的営みである臨床環境学を、実際の地域に入り、地元住民や行政などとともに実践的に学ぶ。フィールドは岐阜県東白川村とラオスの農山村を予定している。経済発展期が終わった段階の日本と経済発展がスタートした直後のラオスの地域の比較を通して、ラオスの学生との交流も行いながら、それぞれの地域での持続可能な地域づくりのあり方について考察する。臨床環境学のコンセプトに基づいて的確に現地の問題課題を把握・分析し妥当な解決策の提案ができるようになることが目標。将来、公務員、コンサルタント・シンクタンク、ソーシャルビジネス、NPO、政治家などをめざす学生には、持続可能な地域づくりについての基本的な考え方と実践的なスキルが身につき、進路選択に直結する。DP3「自らの専門領域に閉じない柔軟な英知を身につけ、環境にかかわる幅広い学問分野を自由に咀嚼することができる」に該当する。 |

| 授業の目的 【英語】 | | | This seminar aims to provide students with the opportunity to learn “Clinical Environmental Studies(CES)” which is trans-disciplinary approach of Environmental studies to contribute to develop sustainable local communities, by means of mutual learning with residents and local governments in the partner regions. The fields are rural areas in Japan and Laos. Students are to consider the sustainable ways of development suitable for both Japan and Laos exchanging opinions with students from/in Laos. This research will be conducted through the comparison of local communities in two countries that are at the different stages of the development; Japan is at the end of the economic development period, on the other hand, Laos is still at the beginning of their development. The goal is to understand the concept of clinical envrionmental studies, to analyze the issues of the study site and to offer adaquate treatment to the issues. |

※新型コロナウイルス感染症拡大により、ラオスでのフィールドワークは予定どおり実施できない可能性（中止もありうる）があります。
１） 臨床環境学とは？：講義と教科書の輪読によって、臨床環境学のコンセプトを学ぶ
２） コミュニケーション・インタビュー研修：ワークショップ形式のトレーニングにより、地域に入るときに不可欠なコミュニケーションとインタビューのスキルを身につける
３） 現地実習：On-site Research Training (ORT)
◆岐阜県東白川村とラオスの農山村をフィールドにする。東白川村は日本の典型的な中山間地域で、豊かな自然と人と人とのつながりがある一方、人口減少・高齢化、農林業・地場産業の衰退、森林生態系の劣化、獣害などさまざまな課題を抱えている。ラオスは経済発展がスタートしたところで、国の制度・政策の変更とともに地域コミュニテイや家族の暮らしに大きな変化が生じている段階である。
◆日本でのフィールドワーク（7月を予定2泊3日ただし変更ありうる）：岐阜県東白川村で地域の暮らしとその変化について調査する。
◆ラオスでのフィールドワーク（11月を予定10日程度ただし中止ありうる）：ラオスの農山村で地域の暮らしとその変化について調査する。
４）現地報告会：東白川村で研究成果を発表し地元からの評価を受ける。
５）報告書作成（1月）
授業時間外にテキストの購読、チームでの議論、発表の準備などが必要です。
※フィールドワークには英語が必須です。一定の英語でのコミュニケーション能力が求められます。
※フィールドワークは交通費・航空運賃は原則大学から支給しますが、人数構成により一部自己負担がありえます。また、食費・宿泊費実費が必要となります。

Notice: Because of Covid-19 pandemic, there is a possibility that the following plan to visit Lao can not be carried out.
１） Lecture and textbook reading to understand the basic concept of CES.
２） Training on communication and interview.
３） On-site Research Training (ORT)
◆The fields are Higashi-Shirakawa Village in Japan and a rural community in Laos. Higashi-Shirakawa Village is a typical rural community in Japan where dense linkages are established between nature and human beings as, while problems of decreasing population and aging exist. In Laos, the economic growth has just started and the institutions and policies of the nation has changed drastically and the changes of local communities and family lives have occurred.
◆Field work in Japan (3 days with 2 nights stay in July, tentative): The students will learn community development activities
◆Field work in Laos (10 days in November, tentative):
４）Presentation in the field: The students will make presentation on the research outputs to receive the comments and feedback from the local stakeholders at Higashi-Shirakawa Village.
５）Reporting (January)
It is required to read textbook and related papers, to discuss in the team of the survey and to prepare the presentation after the class.
Considerable level of communication ability in English is required.
The university covers almost transportation fee of field survey however a part of it would be needed, and the actual expenses of food and accommodation will be needed.
Maximum number of the students is limited to be 7 to 8, the participants will be selected when exceed the number. |
