| 授業の目的 【日本語】 | | 生物の活動や分布はさまざまな環境条件に規制されている．一方，生物自体も環境の一部であり，環境の維持や改変に影響を与えてきた．本講義では，地球史を通じた生物と地球環境の相互関係に関して理解を深める．「生物進化」や「地質学」をこれまで学んでいない学生の参加も歓迎する．そのため，これらの基礎的な知識を補うための補足説明を発表ごとに行う予定である．
講義の進め方は，まず学生がそれぞれ興味のある，または興味を持った「地球環境変動とそれに伴う生物進化（の可能性）」に関する英語論文をいくつか選出し，それらをまとめたものを，各１〜２回発表する．その発表の中で，教員または学生から出た質問や新たな問題提示に答える形で学習をして，翌週に再び発表を行う．
これらの発表を通じて，専門外の人にも分かりやすく研究を伝えることも意識したプレゼンテーション能力の向上と，専門的な知識を補いつつ，論文や研究の中から問題点を見つけ，それを解決する能力を養うことを目的とする．

| | | 授業の目的 【英語】 | | Biological activities and distribution are restricted by various environmental conditions. On the other hand, living organisms themselves are part of the environment and have influenced the maintenance and modification of the environment. In this lecture, students will deepen their understanding of the interrelationship between organisms and the global environment through the history of the earth. Students who have not studied “biological evolution” or “geology” are welcome. Therefore, supplementary explanations to supplement basic knowledge will be given for each presentation.
First of all, we selected several English papers on “global environmental changes and their associated biological evolution” that students were interested in. Oral presentation will be organized once or twice. After the first presentation, students learn the answers for questions by teachers or students, and making the presentation again the next week.
Through these presentations, the ability to improve presentation skills that are easy to understand even for non-specialists, and the ability to find and solve problems in papers and research while supplementing specialized knowledge.
