| 授業の目的 【日本語】 | | 比較社会政策論は、ある政策がなぜ現在の形をとるようになったかを理解可能にするとともに、別の選択肢がありうることも示唆する。比較の方法としては、国際比較、地域間比較、政策分野間比較、歴史比較、およびその組み合わせが考えられる。この授業では、比較社会政策論の有効性と面白さを伝えたい。

| 授業の目的 【英語】 | | Comparative social policy studies makes it possible to understand why a certain policy became what it is today, and to suggest its alternative. The comparative methods include international comparison, inter-regional comparison, comparison between different policy areas, historical comparison, as well as their combinations. In this class, I would like to explain how effective and interesting comparative social policy studies is.

1) 比較社会政策論における主要な研究課題と方法に親しんでもらう。
2) 具体的には、東アジア諸国の福祉を取り上げ、歴史と思想、人口と財政、制度の概要、福祉と政治、福祉と経済、福祉と社会、などの点について批判的に検討する。
3) 一日も早く自分自身の研究活動にとりかかれるよう激励し助言する。
4) 論文を執筆中の受講者に研究報告と建設的討論の機会を提供する。 | **The course will be held online. Students will be notified by email of how to access.
The aims of this course are:
1) To familiarize students with some key issues and approaches in the field of comparative social policy.
2) Specifically, the welfare regimes of East Asian countries will be critically examined in terms of the history and ideas, demography and finance, outline of institutions, and its interaction with politics, economy, and society.
3) To encourage and advise students to start up in their own research activity as soon as possible.
4) To provide students with opportunities for presenting their research and for receiving constructive comments. |
