【授業の目的】
経済地理学は、グローバルな空間における資源・経済活動の偏在に関心を寄せる学問領域である。
この授業では、経済地理学の基礎的な視点や概念を学ぶとともに、グローバルな経済変動や環境問題を背景とした今日の経済地理に対する理解を深めることを目的とする。
【到達目標】
この授業では，受講者が以下の知識・能力を身につけることを目標とする。
1）経済地理学の基礎的な視点と概念を理解することができる。
2）地理的な不均等発展のメカニズムを包括的に理解することができる。
3）経済活動と関連した経済や環境をめぐる問題について批判的に検討することができる。

授業の目的　【英語】
[Objective]
Economic geography is the study of the unequal distribution of resources and economic activity in the global space.
This course will introduce the key concepts and perspectives on economic geography, and provide a better understanding of contemporary economic geographies in the context of global economic changes and environmental challenges.
[Course outcomes]
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Understand the concepts and basis of economic geography.
2. Understand the cause of uneven geographical development.
3. Critically discuss a range of current economic and environmental issues.

授業の内容や構成
〇本授業は、遠隔授業を軸としつつも、必要に応じて対面授業を実施する。
　具体的な授業の実施方法については別途NUCTにより通知する。
　対面授業は環境総合館講義室3において実施する。

【授業の構成】
主に以下の三つのテーマから構成される。
1）経済地理学の主要概念
　 立地、集積の経済、不均等発展、知識経済、イノベーション
2）グローバル化と経済活動
　グローバル化、サービス経済、多国籍企業、世界都市、商品連鎖
3）食のグローバル化
　　 食料供給体系、産業化、シビック・アグリカルチャー、埋め込み
【授業時間外学習の指示】
　　毎回、受講者が上のトピックスについて発表を行う。
　　各受講者は、次回の授業内容を予習するとともに、討論における質問を用意すること。
The content is divided into three broad themes:
1. Key concepts in economic geography
Location, Agglomeration economies, Uneven development, Knowledge economy, Innovation
2. Globalization of economic activities
　 Globalization, Service economy, Multinational corporation, Global city, Commodity chain
3. Globalization of food
Food supply chain, Industrialization, Civic agriculture, Embeddedness

[Student duties]
Students will be assigned to do presentation on the above topics every week.
The student is responsible for carefully reading the assigned material and bring a set of questions for discussion.
