| 授業の目的 【日本語】 | | | 地球表層環境と生命は互いに関わりながら進化してきた．当講義では地球史を概観し，その中で区切りとなる大きなイベントにどのようなものがあるのか，それがどのような原因，過程で生じたのかについて説明し，議論したい．また受講者が自ら積極的に地球史、生命史と関わるトピックについて考究し、その発表を行う事によって理解を深める機会をもつ予定である。 |

| 授業の目的 【英語】 | | | Earth's evironment and the life on earth both have interactively evolved through their history. This lecture overviews history of the earth, and focuses on special events that caused drastic changes in the environment and the life. Students are required to choose topic(s) of these events and to present their review that will be discussed in the lecture. |

などのトピックについて解説します． | This course is scheduled to starts on April 17 (Fri) at the lecture room of the Nagoya University Museum.
This course covers the topics about the evolution of the biosphere and the life itself. The topics I will present are as follows:
Birth of life forms
Oldest fossil
Major oxidation event
Evolution of eukaryote
Appearance of multicellular organisms
Cambrian explosion
Mass extinction
Biotic relation between predators and prey organisms, and their evolution |
