| 授業の目的 【英語】 | | Recent advance in DNA sequencing technology has increased the amount of biological data, especially nucleotide sequences. Biologists are desired to be familiar with bioinformatics so that they can mine a lot of biologically meaningful information from huge sequence data by themselves. The goal of this course is that the students can analyze large sequence data by their personal computer.

| 授業の内容や構成 | | 集中（８月７日（水）および８月９日（金）の２日間）
演習科目のため最大で25名程度の受講者数を予定しており、希望者が多数の場合には調整を行う。受講を希望する学生は、環境学研究科での手続きとは別に、4月20日までに下記「学内連絡先」に電子メールで受講希望の旨を伝えること。

| 参考書 | | 生物の遺伝情報（遺伝子の塩基配列情報）の解析を題材に用いて行う授業であるので、遺伝子と遺伝子発現に関する初歩的な知識を持つことを受講のための要件とする。具体的には、①高校で「生物基礎」および「生物」を履修し関連部分の内容を十分に理解している、②大学の初級レベルの「分子生物学」等を履修したことがある、③分子生物学に興味があり①、②と同等以上の知識を持っている、のいずれかに該当することが必要である。
本講義を受講する際にはノート型パソコンを持参すること。そのコンピュータには事前にLinuxのインストールを行ってくること(インストール方法は受講希望者に別途お知らせします)。講義中にソフトのインストールをすることもあるので、管理者権限を持っていること。 | All students have to bring their personal computer, in which Linux was installed. The installation of Linux will be guided before the lecture. Students must be an administrator for their own PC so that some software may be installed on the PC during the lecture.
There is a limit on the number of students who can take this subject.
There is a possibility that some people can't take this subject.
