| 授業の目的 【日本語】 | | 【授業の目的】海外の代表的な文献の講読を通して、近年の都市・地域研究の理論的論点に関する理解を深めることがこの授業の目的である。特に、発展途上国の都市化やrural-urban linkageに関する研究に着目し、アジアにおけるグローバル化の地域的な現象形態や現代の都市・地域の生態学的な変容に関する見識を深めること目指す。
【到達目標】受講者が授業終了時に、海外における都市・地域研究の主要な理論的論点について説明できるようになること、特にアジアにおける都市化の現代的動向や課題について論考できるようになることを到達目標とする。

The aim of this class is to get deeper understanding of theoretical issues regarding contemporary community and regional studies in global context. In particular, basend on literature review concerning urbanization and urbanization rural-urban linkage in developing countries, we aim to deepen understanding of globalization and ecological transformation of city and community in contemporary Asia.
Goal
In the end of this seminar, students can explain main theoretical issues in community and regional studies in global context, especially focusing on the Asian context and ecological aspects of city and community. (DP1)

| 授業の内容や構成 | | 初回の授業は予定通り4/21に開始しますが、初回の授業はzoomの使用方法の確認を行います。授業開始前に招待メールを送りますので、ズームが使える環境を用意し、待機しておいてください。
【授業の構成】近年の都市・地域研究の主要なテーマをいくつか取り上げ、概説的な講義を行う。その後、テーマごとに関連する文献を取り上げ、講読形式で授業を進める。

| Structure of the seminar: Reputable articles concerning disaster studies are picked up. Participants are expected to give presentation and discuss about the articles.

| 成績評価の方法と基準 | | ・報告、ディスカッションへの貢献、期末レポートによって評価する。
・期末レポートのテーマは、「アジアにおける地域研究の理論的課題」（仮）とする。
・ディスカッションへの「貢献」とは、テーマへの理解を深めるような問いや意見を発することを指す。
・報告25%、ディスカッションへの貢献25%、期末レポート50%で点数をつけ、100点満点で60点以上を合格とする。 | - Evaluation is based on presentation(25%), contribution to discussion(25%) and final report(50%). The score above or equal to 60 is required for credits.
- Theme of final report is "theoretical challenges of community and regional studies in Asian countries".
- Contribution to discussion means making useful remarks on the issues. |
