In this seminar, students acquire the knowledge of the applied methods and solutions on "signal processing, pattern recognition, machine learning" etc., which is the basis of Intelligent Systems Science.
到達目標　【日本語】
知能システム学の基盤となる「信号処理，パターン認識，機械学習」等に関して，英語プレゼンテーションを目指した練習等を通じて，
プレゼンテーション技術と討論力を養う。

The goal of this seminar is to acquire the knowledge of the applied methods and solutions on "signal processing, pattern recognition, machine learning" etc., which is the basis of Intelligent Systems Science.
授業の内容や構成
当該分野の応用的な手法についての論文等を輪読し，そこで用いられる応用的理論，問題解決法，数学的アプローチ，実験及び評価の組み立て方，結果提示方法を理解する。
受講者を６グループに分け，それぞれのグループに担当課題を割り当て，グループごとに調査・発表を行う。
また，英語プレゼンテーション指導においては，日本語プレゼンテーションの英語化，対外発表を考慮したプレゼンテーション練習を行う。

We will read papers and so on on applied methods in this field, and understand the applied theories, problem solutions, mathematical approaches, experimental and evaluation methods, and presentation methods of the results used there. Students are divided into six groups, where each group will be assigned tasks, and will conduct surveys and presentations.

成績評価の方法と基準
発表の評価５０％，他のグループに対する討論５０％，合計１００点満点で６０点以上を合格とする。
Evaluation of the presentation 50%, discussion with other groups 50%. A total of 60/100 points will pass.
教科書・参考書
資料は時流に応じて適切に指示する。また，必要に応じて印刷配布する。履修条件は課さない。
Materials will be indicated according to the current trend.
They will be distribute as printed matters when necessary.
There is no prerequisite for taking this seminar.
