環境政策の具体的な事例の理解に必要な資源管理学や政策学の基礎と事例を通した応用を習得する。特に対象領域の観点からは森林・農漁村の政策学・林政学、計画学の視点を、方法論の観点からはポリティカルエコロジー等の理解に力点を置く。スケールの議論では、ローカルな事象とグローバル化の双方からアプローチされるが、その基礎を理解する。グローバルには国連の場などでは越境大気、廃棄物、生物多様性の危機など国際協調が必要とされる課題が議論される。同時に、それはローカルな事象と入れ子式に相互に影響を及ぼす。条約といった国際的な政策的事例と合わせ、ローカルな地理的表示の保護等の環境と営みの接点についての理解も深めることを意図している。
【到達目標】
Eにおいては仮説の構築、方法論の議論と目次構成等の論文執筆を重視する。基礎的な英語文献の読解力を習得し、アカデミックライティングに慣れる。

| 授業の目的 【英語】 | | This seminar introduces students to the politics that describe the formulation and implementation of environmental policy both at global, national and local level. Conceptual approaches of forest policy, agricultural planning/sociology will be introduced and applied as examples of approaches. We will take up cases of environmental issues on both the domestic and international landscape. Foundation of environmental policies and natural resource management is designed to be acquired through cases at different levels. We will begin by considering the historical development of environmental politics, highlighting the role of scales and actors. We will then consider various aspects of the policy process as it applies to the environment including agenda setting, policy selection and decision making, and implementation.
At E level, discussions on hypothesis, critical review of methodology and constructing table of contents are emphasized.

15. Feedback to report Group Discussion We will have group discussions to critically evaluate the pros and cons of cases from the environmental policy.. Policy Analysis Paper will be allocated. The policy paper is aimed to familiarize students with a specific policy within the environmental arena and the arguments surrounding. The writing process will be emphasized, with opportunities for students to turn in drafts of the paper throughout the writing process. It also aims to refine writing skills and habits.
All participants are required to attend the Guidance session on research ethics conducted as part of this seminar. |

| 成績評価の方法と基準 | | 出席と議論への参加（30%) 、小テスト・発表(20%)、 レポート (50%)。100点満点で60点以上を合格とする。
レポートの素点を基準とし、レポートと小テストにおいてC以上を取ることが単位取得の条件となる。
議論への参加と発表についてはルーブリック評価を活用する予定である。 | Students will be evaluated according to attendance and engagement (30%) presentation (20%) report (50%). 60% will be pass.
A minimums grade of C for the category of exams, (group presentations) and reports are necessary to receive a passing grade. The basis of the evaluation are report.
We will apply rubric methods for achievements. |
