本授業科目は，初年次生を大学教育へ導入し，自立した学習能力を身につけるとともに，文・理に共通した基礎的学力や技能を養うために，多面的な知的トレーニングによって，コモンベーシックとしての読み，書き，話す能力のかん養を図るとともに，真理探究の方法と面白さを学ぶことが目的である。
本セミナーでは，作物の育種を題材にして，課題や問題点に対して科学的な視点からどのように取り組み，議論していくかを学ぶことを目的としています．

The purpose of this seminar is to introduce first-year students to university education, to help them acquire the ability to study independently, to cultivate basic academic skills and skills common to both the humanities and the sciences, to develop the ability to read, write, and speak as common basics through multifaceted intellectual training, and to learn the methods and fascination of truth-seeking. The purpose of this seminar is to learn how to tackle and discuss issues and problems from a scientific point of view, using crop breeding as a subject.

作物育種の基礎を学ぶとともに，遺伝子組み換え作物，新しい育種技術に関しても触れること，また科学的な知見を利用して，自分の意見をプレゼンテーションで表現する技術をの習得を目標にする．

Objectives of the Course [ENG]
In this course, students will learn the basics of crop breeding, be exposed to genetically modified crops and new breeding technologies, and learn how to use scientific knowledge to express their opinions in presentations.
