授業の目的 【日本語】
Goals of the Course [JPN] | | | 細胞はどんな動物や植物においても基本的な構造や機能の単位である。単一の生命体において異なる種類の細胞が発見されたが、しかしながら細胞が機能するためには共通の要素を有している。そして、細胞は病気の治療の可能性を秘めており、実際に近年のiPS細胞の開発は再生医療に高い可能性を秘めている。細胞はどのように見えるのか？どのように細胞は神経細胞や筋細胞のような特殊な種類の細胞に分化するのか？このセミナーでは細胞の生物学、構造学や生理学への導入を目的としている。また、我々は研究者によって使われている細胞の構造、機能や活性を研究するための技術も学ぶ予定である。 |

授業の目的 【英語】
Goals of the Course [ENG] | | | The cell is the basic life unit of any living organism (animal, plant or fungus). Different types of cells are found in a single organism. However, all cells share common structural and functional elements. Cells have the potential to treat diseases as for exemple, the development of iPS cells in recent years has high potential for regenerative medicine. What do cells look like? How do cells differentiate into special types of cells such as nerve cells and muscle cells? This seminar aims to introduce the fundamentals of cell structure, physiology and biology. We will also learn techniques for studying the structure, function and activity of cells used by researchers. |
