Goals of the Course [JPN] | | | 東アジア・東南アジアの太平洋沿岸各国から流出したペットボトルなどの「海洋プラスチック」は海面を漂い１０年程度の歳月をかけてハワイ諸島近海に流れ着きます。「海洋プラスチック」のような国境を越えた環境汚染問題には、社会学・工学・理学・農学・法学・経済学・国際学・教育学など多岐わたる側面からの取り組みが必要です。「海洋ごみ」問題について各自が関心を持った側面・分野について調査とプレゼンを繰り返し、各分野の位置づけを明らかにしていきます。 |

授業の目的 【英語】
Goals of the Course [ENG] | | | Marine debris, such as plastic bottles spilled from countries along the Pacific coast of East and Southeast Asia, drifts on the surface of the ocean and takes about 10 years to reach the waters around the Hawaiian Islands. Transnational environmental pollution problems such as marine debris need to be addressed from a wide range of perspectives, including sociology, engineering, science, agriculture, law, economics, international studies, and education. We will repeatedly conduct investigations and make presentations on the aspects and fields that interest each of us regarding the marine debris problem and clarify the position of each field. |

Objectives of the Course [JPN] | | | 本セミナーでは、「海洋ごみ」のような自然環境と人間社会に関する分野横断的な題材について、各自が関心を持った側面・分野をまず設定します。次に各自で調査し、文章や図表にまとめてパワーポイントで発表します。他の生徒の発表を見ながら問題設定・調査・プレゼンのどの部分が長けているのかを参考にしていきます。このような相互比較・議論を繰り返す事によって、各自のアイデンティティが深化し、各分野の位置づけが明確になっていくことを期待します。 |

Objectives of the Course [ENG] | | | In this seminar, each student will first identify an aspect or field of interest in a cross-disciplinary subject related to the natural environment and human society, such as marine debris. Next, students will conduct their own investigations, summarize their findings in text and charts, and present their findings in a PowerPoint presentation. By watching the presentations of other students, we will be able to see which part of the problem formulation, research, and presentation they excel in. By repeating this kind of intercomparison and discussion, we hope that each student's identity will be deepened and the positioning of each field will become clearer. |
