本講義は，自立した学習能力を身につけるとともに，文・理に共通した基礎的学力や技能を養うために，多面的な知的トレーニングによって，コモンベーシックとしての読み，書き，話す能力のかん養を図るとともに，真理探究の方法と面白さを学ぶことが目的である。

「セミナーのテーマ：食と農について考える」　「食：食品、食料（食糧）、食生活など」と「農：農業、農産物（ご当地名産品）など」について幅広く理解を深めるとともに、自分自身で考える力、課題設定、問題解決、プレゼン、質疑応答などの力をつける。
