授業の目的　【日本語】
Goals of the Course [JPN]
この授業では、新たな知見を見いだすための創造的思考を身につけてもらうことを目的とします。具体的には，創造性に関する本を紹介しながら、創造性はいかに創られるのか、ということについて考えていきます。また、新たなアイデアの源泉となるであろう、データ分析（統計的因果探索）についても紹介します。

Goals of the Course [ENG]
The purpose of this class is to help students acquire creative thinking skills to find new insights. Specifically, while introducing books on creativity, we will discuss how an invention is created. We will also present data analysis (statistical causal search), which may be a source of new ideas.

基礎セミナーの達成目標と同じである。
つまり、コモン・ベーシックとしての
・読み（文献調査，考察，検討）
・書き（まとめ，報告書作成）
・話す（討論，発表）
を中心とした多面的な知的トレーニングを通して，自律的学習能力を育成することを目標とする。

Objectives of the Course [ENG]
The goal of this class is to develop autonomous learning skills through multifaceted intellectual training focusing on the following areas:
- Reading (literature research, discussion, examination)
- Writing (summarizing, report writing)
- Speaking (discussion, presentation)
This is the same as the goal of the Basic Seminar.

Message from the Instructor
いかにして新たな知見を見いだすことができるのか．この問いに真摯に向き合って下さい．そのためには，問題をより深く捉え，より根源的な存在に迫る必要があります．しかしそれだけではブレークスルーとなる新たな知見は得られません．取り組んでいる専門分野の研究だけで無く，それ以外の専門分野にまたがる学際的な領域の研究を俯瞰的に眺め，複眼的な思考で挑むことで初めて新たな知見が得られるものと考えています．ブレークスルーとなる新たな知見を見いだせるようがんばって下さい．

How can we discover new knowledge? This is a question that you must face with sincerity. To do so, you need to understand the problem more deeply and get closer to the root of the problem. However, this alone will not yield new knowledge that will lead to breakthroughs. We can obtain new knowledge only by taking a bird's eye view of research in interdisciplinary areas that span the specialized field in which we are working and other specialized fields and challenging ourselves with multifaceted thinking. I hope you will do your best to find new knowledge that will lead to breakthroughs.
