Goals of the Course [JPN]
本授業科目は，初年次生を大学教育へ導入し，自立した学習能力を身につけるとともに，文・理に共通した基礎的学力や技能を養うために，多面的な知的トレーニングによって，コモンベーシックとしての読み，書き，話す能力のかん養を図るとともに，真理探究の方法と面白さを学ぶことが目的である。

Goals of the Course [ENG]
This class is provided by multifaceted intellectual training in order to introduce first-year students into university education, acquire independent learning abilities, and cultivate basic academic abilities and skills common to both writing and science. The purpose is to improve reading, writing, and speaking abilities as a common basic, and to learn the method and fun of truth-seeking.

近い将来実現するインターネット、人工知能などの社会情勢と、各自の専門課程における学習とを関連付けてこれからの学習についての大方針を立てることを目標とする。

Objectives of the Course [ENG]
The goal is to establish a major policy for future learning by associating the social conditions such as the Internet and artificial intelligence that will be realized in the near future with the learning in each specialized course.

Study Load (Self-directed Learning Outside Course Hours)
セミナー中に各自の能力と方向性に見合った課題を設定するので、図書館やインターネットなどを用いた調査と整理を行う。また、実際のAIの動作などを体験することも計画している。

Message from the Instructor
Courses designed to develop students' capabilities in the basic disciplines of reading, writing, and speaking through wide-ranging intellectual training and to help students learn both how to pursue truth and how interesting such an activity can be.

大学以前の学習では、主要事項の暗記、法則や方程式を用いた解法の習得で構成されている。しかし、現在では検索エンジンによって多くの知識を簡単に得ることができ、あふれるほどの知識の中で必要な情報が何かを判断することが重要である。論理的に考えて解釈し予測する力こそが、社会に出る前に習得すべき能力である。学習の方向を多様化すべきであるが、このような機会は大学入学まで明確には与えられていない。本セミナーでは、本学の出身者が社会で真に役に立つためにどのように学んでいくべきかを、受講生とともに議論して考えていく。

さらには、このセミナーを受講した学生たちが、将来大学院に進学して自分の将来の目標を考えるための一つの道標になるようにしていきたい。
