授業の目的　【日本語】
Goals of the Course [JPN]
毎日のように交通事故など、しばしば大きな地震、津波などの自然災害が報道されている。
さらに最近のコロナ感染は、世界的な大災害と見なせるだろう。
その原因を科学的に分析して、事故を防止する方法や防災・減災するための合理的な方法を検討する。
防災のための設備（ハード）と、運用面（ソフト）の両面から検討する。
セミナーでは各自の興味あるテーマについて単独、或いはグループで分担して調査し、発表する。
互いに議論し理解を深める。議論を通じて主張の根拠を互いに吟味することが重要である。
文献やインターネットによる調査，レポートのまとめかた，発表のしかたなど基本技法の修得をねらいとする。

Goals of the Course [ENG]
Physics of an accident and disaster – ｈow to prevent rationally is considered.
Natural disasters, such as a big earthquake, and tsunami, are reported.
It can be considered that the latest corona infection is a global catastrophic disaster.
The cause is analyzed scientifically and how to prevent an accident, and the method of reducing damage are examined.
About interesting themes, we investigate, announces, and argue mutually.
It is important to examine the basis of an opinion through an argument.
We study the examination method by literature or the Internet, how to compile a report, and the announcement method.

自分で設定したテーマについて資料を探索する方法を学ぶ。
集めた資料を基に、根拠のある自分の見解をまとめることができる。
他のメンバーとの議論を通して自分の見解を見直し、欠けている点が無いか客観的に再検討する姿勢を身につける。

Objectives of the Course [ENG]
The method of looking for data about the theme is studied.
We can express the opinion with a basis.
The posture which argues with other members and reexamines its view is learned.

Message from the Instructor
専門家でも正解の分からない大きな問題に対して、資料を集め、根拠を明らかにして合理的に自分の意見を述べる訓練になります。
これまでの大きな自然災害では防潮堤や堤防など、ハード面だけの防災では不充分であった。
ビッグ・データの活用などで、賢く逃げて減災する方法も考えてほしい。

防災・減災は予算の制約が大きく、関係者の同意を得ることが難しい分野です。
先人たちの知恵や、諸外国の例を参考にして、実行可能な対策を検討しよう。
議論の合間に、物理法則を理解するための簡単な机上実験も行う予定である。
対面授業が可能ならば、「減災館」の見学も検討する。

議論が分かれている問題について、資料を基に冷静な評価をすることは重要です。
この経験は必ず将来に役立つので、積極的に取り組んでほしい。
