Message from the Instructor | | Playing Cards (Trump cards) are absolutely essential for studying/learning in class. You need them every class, including Class 1. Students who do not have cards must buy them at local convenience stores (expensive). Trump cards will be very challenging, yet extremely effective as you will see.
Each class we will have randomly assigned pairs/groups to facilitate learning and interacting with others with different learning styles. As writing is a time-intensive activity, it will almost always be done as homework so that we can maximize class efficiency.
Students will be required to practice pronunciation along with the vocabulary as reading aloud is an important exercise to reinforce learning.
In case of ZOOM (online learning), it is very, very highly desired that students have headphones with a headset microphone. This is extremely important. The critical distance between the mouth and mic are constant with this arrangement making it much more effective in the event of lagging, weather conditions (often affects signal strength) and other non-controllable variables of online learning. Instructor has a professional studio set up with multiple cameras and equipment so a headset mic is critical for effective use of time.
As is usually the case, there's a "lottery" to enter the class. This is beyond my control unfortunately so best of luck. |
