Goals of the Course [JPN] | | | 本授業科目は，人文・社会科学系分野の諸現象について，それらの諸現象を学際的，総合的に分析，把握する能力を育むとともに，他の学問分野との関連性について理解することが目的である。本授業では，行動を生み出すこころ，そしてこころと脳の関係について学ぶことにより，学生の皆さんが脳科学リテラシーを身につけ，改めて「人間とは何か」について考える能力を養えればと考えている。 |

Goals of the Course [ENG] | | | This course provides the students with the skills required to analyze and understand phenomena in the humanities and social sciences in an interdisciplinary, comprehensive fashion, promoting an understanding of their relationships to other fields of study. The goal of this course is to understand what the mind is through the relationship between the brain and the mind, and to acquire brain science literacy and an ability for thinking about what humans are. |

Objectives of the Course [ENG] | | | The students will learn how the mind works, examining basic cognitive and behavioral processes from a neuroscientific perspective, and acquire brain science literacy. The goal of this course is to think deeply what humans are, based on basic knowledge of the cognitive neuroscience and modern psychology. |

Study Load (Self-directed Learning Outside Course Hours) | | 予習：事前にアップされるNUCT上の資料をざっと見て，不明な用語や専門用語等は予め調べて授業に臨むこと。
復習：講義内容について受講後ノート等で自分なりに整理し，知識の定着を図ること。さらに小テストで間違えたところはもう一度自分でも授業の内容をふり返るなどして復習すること。 |

Notice for Students | | | 本授業は，脳や身体とこころの関係を探る研究分野の視点に立っておこなう。そのため一般的に想像されるいわゆる心理学や文系の授業とは少しギャップがあるかも知れない。また，脳部位の名前や脳機能を計測する装置の原理の紹介などを含むので，受講に当たってはその点をあらかじめ了承しておくこと。 |

Message from the Instructor | | | 座学としての授業だけでなく，実際の人を対象とした実験というものに触れてもらうことも重要だと考えています。今年度はオンライン授業のため，教室内での実験に参加してもらうことはできませんが，オンライン実験の参加者の募集をおこなう可能性があるので，その際は積極的に参加し，実験に取り組むことを望みます。 |
