本授業科目は，人文・社会科学系分野の諸現象について，それらの諸現象を学際的，総合的に分析，把握する能力を育むとともに，他の学問分野との関連性について理解することが目的である。

This is one of the courses that aim to provide students with the skills required to analyze and understand phenomena in the humanities and social sciences in an interdisciplinary, comprehensive fashion, promoting an understanding of their relationships to other fields of study.

Objectives of the Course [JPN]
本講義は、現代社会が直面している諸課題を念頭に置きながら、デモクラシーへの視角を養うことを目的とする。第一部では国際的な課題を取り上げ、民主政の可能性と限界を考える。第二部では国内の主な主体や政治参加のあり方を議論し、民主政の進路を考える。

Objectives of the Course [ENG]
This lecture course aims to introduce students to some of the major challenges facing democracy today, such as globalization, democratization, war, inequality and poverty, to consider the limitations and the future of democracy.
