Goals of the Course [ENG] | | | Courses that provide students with the skills required to analyze and understand phenomenain in the field of local and global environmental issues from the the humanities and social sciences perspectives in an interdisciplinary, comprehensive fashion, promoting an understanding of their relationships to other fields of study. Both field works and literature studies are applied to understand the multi-faced nature of the issues. |

Message from the Instructor | | Environmental challenges are local and globalized issues, requiring multi-dimensional approach. The global dimension, such as transboundary air pollution or climate change, require international collaboration while concrete challenges emerge at the local level. Through this lecture we analyze various environmental challenges (soil contamination, animal welfare, media of environmental challenges) and critically evaluate the approaches. The basic of political ecology is lectured. Basic skills of academic writing is trained.
本講義では、初年度という受講生も多いと思います。既に答えがあるものに定石や知識だけで対応するのではなく、既存の研究の議論やフィールドでの「ひっかかり」や議論を立ち止まって考える機会にもなるように大学生活をしていきましょう。
外に出る場では、時間を割いてくれている相手にも敬意を持ちましょう。同時に、講義で知識を習得する一方方向だけではなく、自ら積極的に傾聴し、発信をする態度を心がけましょう。到達段階はルーブリックで示していきます。 |
