人文・社会科学系分野の諸現象について，それらの諸現象を学際的，総合的に分析，把握する能力を育むとともに，他の学問分野との関連性について理解する。

Courses that provide students with the skills required to analyze and understand phenomena in the humanities and social sciences in an interdisciplinary, comprehensive fashion, promoting an understanding of their relationships to other fields of study.

Objectives of the Course [JPN]
・言語現象の背後にある構造や、言語と文化・社会の関係に関心を持つ。
・「日本語」を例に、意識化しにくい現象を相対的に観察する視点を養う。
・日本語と他の言語の違いを把握するうえで、適切な枠組みを設定する力を身につける。

Objectives of the Course [ENG]
The goals of this course are to
- understand the functions of language in society and culture
- be able to observe and critically consider the variety of uses of Japanese Language.
- be　able to develop a comparative framework to see the differences between Japanese and other languages.
