Goals of the Course [JPN] | | | 現代の経済社会のさまざまな取引は基本的に市場経済機能（需要と供給のバランス）で成り立っている。それによって理屈の上ではあらゆる「生産資源」（ヒト・モノ・カネのこと）は最も効率的に配分され、所得の分配も公正に行われるはずだが、実際にはそうではない。そこからどのような問題が生じるのか、社会はそれにどのように対応してきたのか、また一般に市場経済機能に任せては成り立たない社会保障はどのように生成したのかについて、さらには経済取引を媒介している金融・信用システムについて、基礎的知識をつけ、こうした社会科学系分野の諸現象を学際的、総合的に把握する能力をはぐくむことが、本授業科目の目的である。 |

授業の目的 【英語】
Goals of the Course [ENG] | | | Various transactions in modern economic society are mediated basically by market economy function (balance between supply and demand). In theory, all "production resources" (labor, goods, and capital) should be distributed most efficiently, and income should be distributed fairly, but this is not the reality. Students will get knowledge, what kind of problems arose from that, how society has responded to it, how social security, which generally cannot be left to the market economy function, was generated, and also basic knowledge about the current financial and credit system which mediates economic transactions. The purpose of this course is to develop the ability to grasp various phenomena in the field of social sciences in an interdisciplinary and comprehensive fashion. |

Objectives of the Course [JPN] | | 現代経済社会を主に律している市場経済機能とその問題、それに対する現実社会の対応のあり方を理解する。
市場経済で対応しきれない主要な局面である社会保障の形成原理を理解する。
現代の経済活動を媒介する貨幣・金融・信用のシステムについて、その基本を知る。 |

Objectives of the Course [ENG] | | Students understand the market economy functions that mainly intermediate the modern economic society, their problems, and how the reality is.
Students understand the principles of social security formation, which is a major aspect that the market economy cannot deal with.
Students have gotten to know the basics of the monetary, financial, and credit systems that mediate modern economic activity. |
