「線形性」は近代科学における数量的取り扱いの最も基本的な概念であり，さまざまな分野で用いられる。その線形性を数学的に扱う手法が線形代数学である。本科目は通年講義の前半として，行列の数学的取り扱いに習熟し，諸概念を理解し，また数理科学的な\\

行列の数学的取り扱いに習熟し，諸概念を理解する。特に，座標幾何学（平面，空間）による幾何学的理解，連立一次方程式の解法への習熟，行列式の概念の理解を重視する。
