授業の目的　【日本語】
Goals of the Course [JPN]
本授業科目は，自然科学系分野の学問体系を認識するとともに，自主的判断能力を培うことが目的である。
現代の化学は、物理から生物にいたる広い領域をカバーする総合的な学問になりつつある。この化学基礎ＩとＩＩ期に開講される化学基礎ＩＩとをあわせて、理学のどの分野に進む学生にも大切な化学の基礎を総合的に習得できるような講義内容になっている。化学基礎Ｉでは、原子核の構成、原子構造と元素の周期性を理解した上で、分子をつくる化学結合の成り立ちについて学習し、化学結合論に基づく物質論を学ぶ。

Goals of the Course [ENG]
In this lecture, the basics of quantum chemistry, including the Schrodinger equation, a particle in a box, electrons in a hydrogen atom, and molecular orbitals, are addressed. Students learn how we can understand molecules based on the quantum theory.
