Goals of the Course [JPN] | | 本授業科目は，自然科学系分野の学問体系を認識するとともに，自主的判断能力を培うことが目的である。
化学基礎Iでは、現代化学に必要不可欠な化学結合の量子論の序論を講義します。始めに、原子構造を理解するための量子力学について学んだ後、簡単な系として二原子分子を例に、分子軌道法を用いて化学結合の形成、共有結合、イオン結合、電気陰性度、混成軌道について講義します。さらに、分子の振動・回転運動の量子論を概観します。最終的に、高校で習った化学結合の量子論的に理解が本科目の目的です。 |

Goals of the Course [ENG] | | The purpose of this class is to recognize the academic system in the field of natural science and to cultivate the ability to make independent judgments.
In this subject named "Basic Chemistry I", we will give an introduction to the quantum theory of chemical bonds, which is indispensable for modern chemistry. First, after learning about quantum mechanics to understand the atomic structure, chemical bond formation, covalent bond, ionic bond, electrical negativeness, hybridization will be learned by using the molecular orbital method. In addition, we will give an overview of the quantum theory of vibration and rotational motion of molecules. Ultimately, the purpose of this course is to understand the quantum theory of chemical bonds when you learned in high school. |

Message from the Instructor | | Purpose and goal of this lesson
The purpose of this course is to recognize the academic system in the field of natural sciences and to cultivate the ability to make
judgments by themselves.
In Basic Chemistry I, we will give an introduction to the quantum theory of chemical bonding, which is essential for modern chemistry.
Firstly, after learning about quantum mechanics to understand atomic structure, we will take a diatomic molecule as an example of a simple
molecular system, and give a lecture on chemical bonds, covalent bonds, ionic bonds, electronegativity, and hybridization, using molecular orbital
theory. Subsequently, we will introduce an overview of the quantum theory of vibrational and rotational motions of molecules.
Ultimately, the goal of this course is to understand the chemical bond, which they learned at high school, in terms of quantum theory.

（２） 予習はするに越したことはありませんが、週末に必ず復習しましょう。
（３） 講義科目名は化学基礎となっていますが、講義内容の大半は物理学なので、
高校で化学が苦手な方も学習しやすいと思います。 |
