Goals of the Course [JPN] | | | 前期に学んだ化学基礎Ⅰの内容と合わせて、生命を支える物質とエネルギーについて考えることで、医学の基本の一つである生体・エネルギー・情報の根幹をなす物質について理解することを目指す。ここでは物質変化のダイナミズムすなわち構造や状態が移り変わる方向や速さとエネルギーとの関係の基礎を学習する。学習を通じて、科学技術の発明・革新が我々の生活をどのように進歩させてきたかを知り、今後も物質やエネルギーを正しく有効に使いながらそれらを資産として後世に受け継いでいく。 |

Goals of the Course [ENG] | | | Following “Fundamentals of Chemistry I” on the spring semester, in order to understand one of bases of medicine that is a knowledge on materials that supports life, such as a body, energy as well as information of a living organism. At this class, a basis of dynamism on the material transformation, i.e. direction, velocity and energy, would be learned, and, in addition, development of the intelligence on the sustainable use of materials and energy for future generations based on the recent innovation of science and technology would be carried out. |

Objectives of the Course [JPN] | | | 授業では多数の知識や数値的解を得ることを目指すのではなく、学習した物質に関する知識を基にして様々な科学を有機的に連携活用する力を養う。得られた力を生かし、複雑な自然現象に謙虚に向き合いながら論理的に正しい判断・処理を行い、そこから新たな課題を見出しこれを解決し発表する。 |

Message from the Instructor | | The purpose of this course is to recognize academic systems in the field of natural sciences and to cultivate voluntary judgment skills.
In this class, you will study physical chemistry, which is the basic principle to understand chemical reactions and life phenomena. The basics of physical chemistry have been studied in high school, but in this class you will learn more deeply and broadly, specifically the basics of thermodynamics, chemical kinetics, and quantum mechanics.
授業の内容が理解できないときは、先ず教科書に立ち返ってもらいたい。教科書は理学部や工学部で使われている化学を専攻する学生に向けたものではなく、物理化学の基礎が平易に書かれているので理解しやすい。 |
