Objectives of the Course [JPN]
西洋音楽史で常に中心的な位置を占めてきたオペラは、諸芸術（文学、美術、舞踊等）や、各国の社会・文化状況とも深くかかわりながら発展を遂げてきた。本授業では、バロックから現代に至るまでの代表的なオペラについて、作品が生まれた背景や、聴きどころ・見どころをさまざまな角度から学んだうえで鑑賞し、作品に対する理解を深める。目と耳からオペラ史を学ぶことで、音楽に対して幅広い視座を得ることを目標とする。

Objectives of the Course [ENG]
The aim of this course is to help students acquire an understanding of the history of opera in Western countries. The goal of this course is to obtain a broader perspective on music.

Textbook
使用しない。適宜、授業資料を配付する。
課外学修等
Study Load (Self-directed Learning Outside Course Hours)
毎回の授業で、動画サイト等の映像を鑑賞し、感想を書くなどの課題を課す。また、レポート作成に際しても、動画サイトやテレビ、DVDなどでオペラを鑑賞することを推奨する。
