The main purpose of this course is to help students create academic presentations that meet the standards of academic conferences. Lessons will address the content and structure of professional-level academic presentations as well as strategies for successful delivery, including slide design, speaking style, and body language.

Student will gain practical experience with giving presentations, thereby becoming more confident and capable English speakers. They will also improve their speaking, listening, and writing abilities by responding to sample presentations.

Study Load (Self-directed Learning Outside Course Hours)
Students will complete weekly homework assignments and prepare two presentations of approximately 10 minutes each.
