この科目は国際教育交流センターが開講する専門系授業科目であり、学生の自主的で多様な学習意欲に応えるため，他学部の学生の受講が可能であり，かつ，有意義であると認めて全学に開放する科目。

This course, offered by the International Education & Exchange Centre, is open to students from other schools. It is specialised in nature, covering a subject of global importance, and aims to respond to students' desire for independent, wide-ranging, and diverse learning.
授業の達成目標　【日本語】
Objectives of the Course [JPN]
本授業では、日本に滞在する外国人の法的、社会的な地位の分析を行う。特に、出入国管理法制の枠組み及び外国人受入れに対する政策に焦点をあてる。基本的に日本における動向を中心とするが、学生各々の国における状況との比較も行う。国際社会への認識・理解を深めることだけではなく、ディスカッションやプレゼンテーションを通して、コミュニケーション能力をレベルアップする機会が与えられる。
授業の達成目標　【英語】
Objectives of the Course [ENG]
This course aims to analyse the legal and social status of foreign nationals in Japan. Whilst it focuses, in particular, on the immigration law framework and policy developments in Japan, a comparison with the situation in students’ home countries is also envisioned. Students will not only acquire a deeper understanding of international society; they are also expected to enhance their communication skills through discussion and presentations.

毎週のリーディングに加え、情報収集を求める課題が予定されている。また、プレゼンテーションおよびレポート作成に必要な学習。

COVID-19の感染拡大が収まらないので、授業の方法について、オンライン・プラットフォーム（ZOOM)を考えている。ZOOMのミーティングプレースはメールでお知らせしたいので、履修を希望している学生は、最初の授業（10月5日（火）4限）の前にk46189a@cc.nagoya-u.ac.jpにご連絡ください。

This class is of mixed composition; participants include NUPACE, G30, and Japanese students. Considering the complexity of the subject matter, students should be, at least, in the second year of their undergraduate studies.

The course is expected to be taught via zoom, and students should contact Claudia Ishikawa at k46189a@cc.nagoya-u.ac.jp to be informed of the meeting room URL for the first class.　I will also be happy to take any questions.
