Goals of the Course [ENG] | | | This course aims to equip students with knowledge on how to develop their own Intercultural Competence by enhancing understanding of the fundamentals of Intercultural Competence and its related concepts through discussion and presentations in order to prepare themselves for the international society. |

Objectives of the Course [JPN] | | | 本授業では、異文化間能力の定義、モデル、構成要素と関連する概念（文化、言語文化とアイデンティティ、言語・非言語的コミュニケーション、偏見、ステレオタイプ、一般化、自民族中心主義、文化相対主義主義）について学び、考えることで、自身の異文化間能力を育成するための知識を身につけることができる。 |

Objectives of the Course [ENG] | | | Students will learn definitions, models and components of Intercultural Competence. Important concepts such as culture, language and identity, verbal/non-verbal communication, prejudice, stereotypes, generalization, ethnocentrism and cultural relativism will be explored in order to acquire knowledge to develop one's Intercultural Competence. |
