Goals of the Course
The course aims to emphasize the differences across several inferences, so that students can correctly identify the test statistics to be used in each case and to interpret the results.
At the end of the course, students will be able to test hypotheses about different parameters when only one population is involved, to test hypotheses regarding differences and ratios of parameters when two populations are involved, and to test hypotheses concerning the linear correlation coefficient and the slope of the line of best fit.
