動く曲線の数値計算：
２次元/３次元の曲線の運動を数値解析する手法を学び，その特徴を理論的に解析する方法論を身につけることを目的とします。具体的な応用としては流体力学における様々な渦運動を想定しています。実際の曲線の運動を計算機を使って数値解析しグラフィックスを用いて可視化することによって議論します．

Numerical Analysis of Moving Curves:
The purpose of this course is to learn the methods of numerical and theoretical analyses of the motion of curves in 2 and 3 dimensional spaces. As concrete applications, we assume various vortex motions in fluid mechanics. We discuss the actual motion of curves by looking at numerical data and its graphics.

教科書に沿って２／３次元の曲線の運動を記述、解析するための数値計算，理論を身につけて頂きます．

履修条件
Course Prerequisites

微分幾何学，微分方程式，数値解析について習熟していることを求めます．特に数値解析についてはプログラミングができることを必須の要件とします．

定員超過の場合の選考方法：上記のように計算機を使っての数値解析が主な内容ですのでC, Fortran, Mathematicaなどによるプログラミングができることが必要条件です．また大学院への進学を志望している方を優先します．事前にオフィスアワー等で履修の意思を明確に示していることも条件とします．
