Goals of the Course(JPN)

哺乳類の複雑化した行動や知的活動を担う神経系の構築と機能の物質的基盤を理解し、それらの破綻としての精神・神経疾患（依存症、アルツハイマー病、パーキンソン病など）と多様な手法による治療の試みについて知る。
This course overviews topics in neuroscience from mice up to humans. Students who successfully complete this course will understand the molecular and cellular bases of the organization and function of mammalian nervous system underlying complex behaviors ― from learning and memory up to intellectual, but emotionally biased, activities of humans. They will develop insights into pathological mechanisms underlying mental and neurological disorders (dependence, depression, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, autism), and various techniques for the treatment.

Organization, higher-order functions, and dysfuctions of mammalian central nervous system.
1. Chemical control of memory and learning (experience-dependent reorganization of neural network)
2. Molecular basis of emotions and rewards (motivation)
3. Molecular pathology of neurophychiatric disorders
