授業の目的　【日本語】
Goals of the Course(JPN)

脊椎動物の発生生物学および神経科学に関する代表的な英語原著論文を読むことにより、基礎的英語力・読解力・分子生物学の知識を身につける。また論文に記載された実験手法およびデータを読解することにより、生物学の実験プランの構築・データの解釈・論文の作成に関する基本的理解を深めるとともに、科学的論理思考力を養う。

In this course, students will gain basic knowledge of English, reading comprehension, and molecular biology by reading representative English scientific papers on vertebrate developmental biology and neuroscience. In addition, by reading the experimental methods and data described in the papers, students will deepen their basic understanding of the construction of experimental plans for biology, interpretation of data, and preparation of papers, as well as cultivate scientific and logical thinking skills.

１）優れたサイエンス系英語プレゼンテーションの実例を集めたwebsiteから自分の興味の持てる素材を探索する。１つのプレゼンテーションの内容を簡単にパワーポイント資料にまとめて紹介した後、ビデオ供覧し、質疑応答を行う。
２）指定された原著論文ないし総説を分担して読み、PowerPointで紹介し、発表し、質疑応答することを通じて英語論文読解力、論理的思考力、情報伝達能力などを養う。
