寒帯林から熱帯林にいたるまでの様々な森林の生態や管理・利用，森林と人びとの関わりについて理解を深めることにより，グローバルな視点から森林の意義・役割について考える。

This lecture is to support students to consider the significance and the role of forests from a global perspective by deeply understanding the ecology and management of various forests, including boreal forests and tropical forests, and the relationship between the forests and people.
