この授業では、近代日本の地域教育の歴史に関する文献を購読し発表することを通じて、教育の歴史に関する課題を明らかにするための専門的知識のほかに、調査・分析方法を学び、研究遂行能力を習得することを目的とする。

Goals of the Course
The aim of this course is to help students acquire the necessary skills and knowledge needed to achieve a better performance in studying history of education.
Students are required to read books on modern history of local education in Japan and required to write reports.

教育の歴史に関する基本概念についての説明ができ、また地域における学校の役割について議論ができる。

Objectives of the Course
At the end of the course, participants are expected to explain the essential concepts of history of education in Japan and discuss the role of schools in local area.
授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan
授業はゼミ形式で行なわれる。
指定された文献について担当者を割り振り、担当のレポーターがレジュメを作成して文献の内容を紹介し、論点を提示したえうえで、全員で議論をする。

とくにないが、地域や学校の歴史に関心をもっていることが望ましい。
成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria
毎回の授業への取り組みの姿勢（１００％）
総点の６０％以上で合格とする。
