The aim of this course is to acquire high level of expertise regarding each student's research question and to write thesis based upon logical and applicative consideration.

Objectives of the Course
Through this course, each student is expected to:
1. decide his/her research plan and to acquire basics of research and academic writing, and
2. submit a mid-term thesis progress report.
授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan
1. Deciding the Research Plan
-consult about the research plan based upon consideration of research material, including the research theme.
2. Academic Writing
-consult about presentation of the progress of the research and the draft of thesis.
3. Collection of Research Material
-acquire method for collection of research material
4. Submission of the Mid-term Thesis Progress Report
-complete mid-term thesis progress report in the first year and submit the report after consultation with the supervisor.
5. Others

The details of the course will depend on the progress of each student's research.

Special Research I is compulsory for a student of the LLM (Comperative Law) Program in Law and Political Science.
成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria
Each student will be evaluated based upon his/her mid-term thesis progress report. To pass, each student should conduct his/her own research actively and autonomously and submit the mid-term thesis progress report.

Study Load(Self-directed Learning Outside Course Hours)

Additional measures for remote class (on-demand class)

遠隔授業はNUCTで行う。教員への質問方法、学生同士の意見交換の方法は次のとおりとする。なお、教員より別の指示がある場合は、その指示に従うこと。
・教員への質問は、NUCT機能「メッセージ」により行うこと。
・授業に関する受講学生間の意見交換は、NUCT機能「メッセージ」により行うこと。
(※担当教員が「フォーラム」機能を追加設定した場合は「フォーラム」も利用可。)
Remote classes are conducted via NUCT. Questions to instructors should be asked using the NUCT "Message" function.
