Goals of the Course | | | This seminar revisits the discourses related to reason and tolerance in the 18th century European thoughts, which have played essential roles for the formation of our modern society. Students are invited to read some of the texts in Tolerance: The Beacon of the Enlightenment (2015), anthology originally edited in French. |

Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | 講義における発表もしくはレポートにおける社会思想史分野への理解と解釈を評価する。
The evaluation will be made according to the quality of the presentations or the reports of the students on the subjects related to history of social thought. |

授業開講形態等
Lecture format, etc. | | 教育レベルが１以下の場合、原則として対⾯授業とする。ただし、対⾯授業を希望しない学生には遠隔（同時双⽅向型またはオンデマンド型）でも受講できるよう、「対面・遠隔（同時双⽅向型またはオンデマンド型）の併⽤」とする。遠隔はNUCT等で行う。なお、オンデマンド型の場合、教員への質問および授業に関する受講学⽣間の意⾒交換は、NUCT機能「メッセージ」により⾏うこと。
