Goals of the Course | | | The research in social cognition analyzes how people form the understanding of their social environment which comprises interpersonal relationships, influences from groups and culture that one belongs to, and even their self-concept. In this lecture, we will discuss issues concerning the mechanism of information processing about social events, and the structure of relevant mental representations. |

Objectives of the Course | | | Achieving an understanding of fundamental concepts and the recent advancement of research in social cognition is the main goal of this course. We will also discuss ways of applying the basic knowledge about psychological processes to resolving actual social issues. |

Course Content / Plan | | 担当教員の講義に加えて，講義内容に関する討論や，社会的認知分野における代表的な文献の講読を行う。
討論と講読では受講者が討論リーダーを分担し合って議論の活発化を図る。
