This course aims to learn fundamental concepts related to elementary particle physics, and also to develop presentation skills and obtain learning abilities through discussions among participants in the seminar.

Objectives of the Course
At the end of the course, participants are expected to understand the fundamental concepts related to elementary particle physics as well as to develop presentation skills and learning abilities through the group discussion.
授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan
Topics and an English textbook for this seminar course will be chosen by participants in the first seminar. Following the textbook, each time, some participants give a presentation (prepared in advance) on subjects in the textbook, and then all participants participate in discussions to obtain a deeper understanding of the topics.
Not only a presenter but also all other participants are required to read the textbook in advance to prepare for the seminar.

Possible candidates of topics would be
*Quantum field theory
*Physics of elementary particle
*Particle cosmology
*Group theory
etc

Understanding the basics of quantum mechanics and analytical mechanics is assumed.
