Goals of the Course
The purpose of this course is to show students cutting-edge research in condensed-matter physics and to motivate them to study this rich and fertile research area. This course also aims at reviewing fundamental physics such as electromagnetism, statistical physics, and quantum mechanics through various aspects of advanced materials. Each lecture is covered by a different professor, and the students can grasp various research frontiers throughout the course.

By the end of this course, students will be able to gain knowledge of recent trends in condensed-matter physics research and understand the essences of the topics given.
