授業の内容や構成 Course Content / Plan | | Lecture 1. Global issues and Development Cooperation (Mr. Akira Nakamura, Yachiyo Engineering Co., Ltd.)
1) Introductory Lecture for Global Issues and Development Cooperation, 2) Group work: to discuss and propose a plan using logic model for realizing a sustainable community. 3)Group Presentation, Discussion and Report-making by each student.
Lecture 2. Urban Planning and Transport Infrastructure Development(Mr.Yoshiya Nakagawa, PADECO Co., Ltd)
1) Transport Planning and its ICT application front line, 2) Formulation of transport projects in developing countries, planning procedure and its global market interests. 3) Exercise: Transport economics and justification of transport infrastructure investment.
Lecture 3. Introduction to International Education Development Program (Ms Hikari Miyahara, PADECO Co., Ltd.)
1) Lecture: Background and categorization of international cooperation in education, 2) Exercise: Simulated education assistance program design, 3) Reflection: Presentation, summary, and discussion.
Lecture 4. Interventions to improve malnutrition (Mr Yukio Ikeda, Kaihatsu Management Consulting, Inc.)
1) Background information about malnutrition, 2) Undernutrition: Consequences of undernutrition, the conceptual framework of maternal and child undernutrition, and Indicators of undernutrition. 3) Interventions: Examples of multi-sectoral approaches on nutrition, JICA’s projects on nutrition, and Exercise.
Lecture 5. Rural Development and Gender (Ms Makiko Yamamoto, Sanyu Consultants INC.)
1)Lecture: Rural development and gender. 2) A case study of rural development and gender, Group discussion. 3) Group presentation and report-making by each student.

成績評価の方法と基準 Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | Attitude in group work: 40%, Presentation/Reporting: 60%.
After putting the score in each lecture by each lecturer, 5 lecturers put the final score to each student at the end of all lectures.
Credit is given C- or C (where applicable) or higher grade for each criterion. |
