本講義では、海洋地質学の主要トピックを扱います。 特に、海盆の形成過程、海底地形、海底堆積物の種類と分布、古環境復元、海面の変動、海洋の地質資源に焦点を当てます。

Goals of the Course
This course covers major topics in marine geology, including the formation process of ocean basins, seafloor geomorphology, the nature and distribution of marine sediments, paleoenvironmental reconstructions, sea-level changes, and marine geological resources. The first part of the course will be an introduction to fundamental concepts in marine geology. The second part will be dedicated to case studies, in-class discussions based on readings, and student presentations.
