The purpose of this seminar is to understand ancient organisms and paleoenvironments through field trips, and to study the interrelation between biota and environments.

このセミナは過去の環境がそれぞれの学生が観察した地質と古生物のデータからどのように復元されるのかを学ぶことを到達目標としている。それに加えて学生はそれぞれの発表を論理的に作成することを学ぶことが望ましい。

Objectives of the Course
The goal of this seminar is to learn how ancient environment can be reconstructed from the data based on your observation of geology and paleontology. Also students are advised to learn how they can logically construct their presentations.

内容
このセミナーは下記のようなスケジュールで行われる（予定）。このセミナーに興味のある学生は第1回目の講義（2021年10月6日の予定）に出席することが望ましい。予定はまだ未定の部分があり講義を通じて確定される。
１．10月6日、13:00-14:30: このセミナーの概要。これは博物館講義室（博物館３階）で行われる。
２．10月27日、13:00-14:30: 講義。これは博物館講義室（博物館３階）で行われる。
３．瑞浪（岐阜県）への日帰り巡検。日程は未定。
４．女神石灰岩（静岡県）への日帰り巡検。日程は未定。
５．巡検に関する追加講義と討論。博物館講義室で行われる。
Contents:
This seminar is conducted based on the following schedule (tentative). Those who are interested in this seminar are advised to attend the first lecture on Oct. 6, 2021. The schedule is flexible and will be fixed during the first lecture.
1. Oct. 6, 13:00-14:30: Outline of the seminar. Held at the lecture room of the University Museum (3rd Floor).
2. Oct. 27, 13:00-14:30: lecture. Held at the lecture room of the University Museum (3rd Floor).
3. One day field trip to Mizunami (Gifu Prefecture, date not fixed).
4. One day field trip to Megami Limestone (Shizuoka Prefecture, date not fixed).
5. Follow-up discussion about the field trips. Held at the lecture room of the University Museum (3rd Floor).

条件はない。生物と地球科学に興味を持つ方。
No previous conditions required.　Preferably students who are interested in biology and geology.
成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria
成績は講義への出席、巡検への参加、そしてこの内容の理解の程度と採集レポートに基づいて評価される。
Scores will be determined by the attendance to the lectures, participation to the field trip and the degree of understanding to this subject, and the final report.
