授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan | | | 本セミナーは，博士前期課程１年生を対象にし，各人の地質・地球生物学に関する修士研究の研究内容の発表を行い，研究方法，研究結果，考察の妥当性などを議論する．発表のために，時間外に論文を数編読み，プレゼンテーションの準備を行う． | This seminar is for first year master students. Each member is asked to study significant geological publications and present the results to other members of the group. In doing so the student is expected to develop a deeper understanding of the field. The main aim is to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to accurately grasp the meaning of specialized publications and to present the results in a clear and concise manner. Students are expected to read scientific papers in fields related to their own research such as geology, petrology and paleontology out of this class and to prepare own presentation.
All participants are required to attend the Guidance session on research ethics conducted as part of this seminar. |

成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | 出席回数と各人の発表における理解度，まとめ方，発表の方法などに基づいて評価する.
論文の内容をわかりやすくまとめて発表することを最低限の合格基準とする． | Estimate based on the degree of understanding, construction and method of presentation.
The minimum passing criterion is to present the contents of the dissertation in a clear and concise manner. |
