This seminar is aimed at enabling the students to deepen their understanding of unexplored issues concerning international institutions in order to acquire the trans-disciplinary perspectives necessary to address global environmental issues.

Objectives of the Course | | 【Learning Outcomes】
At the end of the course, the students will be able to understand the state-of-the art research themes in the field of institutional research related to environmental governance, and thereby to acquire the skills required to design and conduct original research with a view to creating a new academic field concerning global environmental governance. |

授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan | | | この演習では、１）環境ガバナンスに関するより専門的な文献の輪読、及び２）各自が独自に立案したリサーチ・デザイン及びリサーチ結果の発表を行い、全員で議論する。また履修者は本セミナーで実施される研究倫理教育ガイダンスの受講を必須とする。 | All participants are required to attend the Guidance session on research ethics conducted as part of this seminar.
The students enrolled in this seminar are required to: 1) read advanced literature on topics related to environmental governance, and 2) to present and discuss their research designs as well as the results of their research. |

Course Prerequisites and Related Courses | | | 国際環境行政論セミナーA、BおよびCを予め受講することが本セミナーの履修条件となる。また本セミナーの受講生には、環境政治や環境法に関する他の講義（特に国際環境行政論）やセミナーも併せて受講することを強く奨励します。 | | Global Environmental Governance Seminars A, B and C are prerequisites for this class. It is also highly recommended that the students take other courses in environmental politics and law as well as the lecture on global environmental governance. |

成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | | 口頭発表（40%）および論文（60%）に基づき、グローバル・ガバナンス研究における最先端の課題を正しく理解した上で、オリジナルな研究を設計・遂行できるかどうかを評価基準とする。 | | The students will be evaluated according to their understanding of the state-of-the-art research issues in global governance and the quality of their original research, based on their oral presentations (40%) as well as their research paper (60%). |
